IMPORTANT: PERMITS REQUIRED ON ALL LINING SYSTEMS INSTALLATIONS!
Set up for a new construction installation of the Ventinox stainless steel liner system.
The liner is positioned for installation.
And in she goes.
Still going.
Finally, the liner is all in. Later the excess will be trimmed off.
Meanwhile, the mason is starting the finish stone work.
One block was left out of the backside of the chimney to help seat the liner at the top of the throat. The block will be set in place later.
A close up look at the top of the throat where the liner will sit. Normally, this is where the flue tile begins.
A look at the Ventinox liner set in place.
The base of the Ventinox liner is sealed to the throat.
Once the base seal is complete, the block is installed.
The next step is to surround the liner with Thermix insulation.
The mason continues the stone exterior.
Looks pretty empty in there.
Preparing to mix the Thermix.
Here comes the Thermix. Thermix serves some very important purposes.
The Thermix is at the top.
The liner is trimmed and a piece of flue tile is set over the liner to accept the cap and to keep the appearance.
The crown and the cap are installed. Next, the mason will finish the exterior of the chimney with stone.
The stone exterior is now complete outside...
... and inside.
